A few weeks ago I had a free phone consultation with Anderson Advisors out of Las Vegas. I was assigned a Senior Advisor that had a lot of great ideas to structure my assets. Currently, my assets consist of two companies: a California LLC and a Delaware LLC. The California Company is a brick and mortar facility for children’s sports activities. The Delaware Company is a real estate investing company. In addition to the companies, I have two rental houses and have plans to run syndications through the Delaware LLC. My assigned advisor had a lot of unique ideas that were great for tax planning and wealth management. These ideas also gave me some anonymity from renters.
All in all I have to say that my advisor seemed very knowledgeable and excited for his work. And then came the sales pitch. It turned me off. I know that was not his intention and I felt that for the price, I was getting a lot of services. My fear was that I would sign a contract and then I would just keep getting up-sold and always need another product from this full service company.
